AEGIS Position Statements: Mandatory RLT Before Hormonal Therapy (1992, 1998)
AEGIS periodically released position statements. These from 1992 and 1998 addressed the then-common practice of therapists to require an (often extensive) period of real-life experience before initiation of hormonal therapy. Our advisory board felt this constituted unnecessary risk for transsexuals and set them up for failure.
