Here you can learn about my work and read (or listen to) most of what I’ve written in my life. I like to express myself in print. Hardly a day goes by when I don’t write something—and a surprising amount of what I create finds its way into print.

The bulk of my published pieces are related to my work on behalf of gender-variant people, but even there my work is varied. I’ve written books, book chapters, journal articles, articles and columns for magazines and newsletters, thousands of blogposts, interviews, poetry, plays, short stories, and novels. I play classical guitar and write songs and perform music, mostly in the folk tradition. That, I suppose, makes me a singer-songwriter as well.

I like to share my work with others. That’s why I created this space. Here you’ll find hundreds of posts on every sort of topic, and in a dozen or more genres. I add new material weekly.
